"The thing about Arden, that is unique to all the gardening I’ve ever done before, is that there is, in this house, a lot of little small areas. Each has different light. Because of where the house is this gets the morning light, this gets the afternoon light. So each one has different requirements. You can do different things rather than if you have one huge sunny back yard. When something grows really well, it’s like finding the right spot for something. When you find the right spot for it, it’s going to do well, whether you give it a lot of care or not. Finding the right spot is a real pleasure."
