Arden Craft Shop Museum's

Sunday Afternoons with the Artist, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Joann Colameco, November 29, from 1-3 pm,

All neighbors and friends of the Ardens are invited to visit the Community Room of the Arden Craft Shop Museum for an interesting afternoon on November 29, from 1-3 pm, when photographer Joann Colameco will be the featured artist. Joann will be available at the museum to visit with guests and answer questions during her exhibit. Visitors will be welcomed at either the museum’s main entrance on Millers Road or at the handicap accessible entrance on Cherry Lane.

Joann Colameco has long been interested in photography. She began her formal training in 1975 at Loyola University in New Orleans, LA. She later studied at Antonelli’s School of Photography in Philadelphia, PA and took photography classes at Delaware County Community College. Joann graduated from Temple University with a BA in Communications. Joann first exhibited her photography at the Darlington Fine Arts Center in 1989. This was a juried exhibit where she received Honorable Mention for her work.

Many years ago Joann was the manager of the Strawbridge and Clothier portrait studio in Exton, PA. She later did free lance work for WHYY. Joann joined the staff at WHYY in 1995. She continues to work there today as a broadcast technician and is responsible for operating the studio camera for a new weekly news and informational show called FIRST. Other responsibilities at WHYY include shooting footage and editing for Patrick Stoner.

Linda Parks is scheduled for December, 2009, 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

The artists will be available at the museum to visit with guests and answer questions during the afternoon of their exhibits. Enter at either the museum main entrance on Millers Lane or at the handicap accessible entrance on Cherry Lane.

Afternoon with the Artist is sponsored each month by the Arden Archives Committee. Volunteers open the museum every Sunday afternoon from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and on Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:00 p.m. Admission is free.
