Sunday Afternoons
with the Artist
Rhys McClure will share her watercolors, mono prints and colored pencil works based upon the plants and trees in her garden on Sunday, May 25, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Rhys is a newcomer to Arden and is looking forward to greeting many of her Arden friends and neighbors as well as celebrating her May birthday during this Spring afternoon.- Helen "Cookie" Ohlson will display samples of her watercolors and published articles on a Sunday, June 8. A recently retired teacher of gifted students, Cookie is now better able to devote time to developing her talents. Please stop by the museum to enjoy her art and chat with Cookie.
- July and August are available!
- Art Students of Linda Celestian will display their best work on Sunday, September 28.
- Jeanne Orr will exhibit her paintings and prints of children on Sunday, October 26.
- Walter Broadbent's paintings and woodcarvings will be presented on November 30, by Lizzie Broadbent and family.
- Marjorie Roberts will share her oil paintings on Sunday, Decemer 7.
- Linda Parks is tentatively schedule for January, 2009.
The artists will be available at the museum to visit with guests and answer questions during the afternoon of their exhibits. Enter at either the museum main entrance on Millers Lane or at the handicap accessible entrance on Cherry Lane.
Afternoon with the Artist is sponsored each month by the Arden Archives Committee. Volunteers open the museum every Sunday afternoon from 1:00-3:00 p.m. and on Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:00 p.m. Admission is free.

Artists Previously Exhibited
- Delores Pye Josey exhibited her paintings and pottery on Sunday, April 27. While living in Switzerland, she held a one-woman show in Bremgarten.
- Danny Schweers shared his photographs, collages, book and a video in March, 2008.
- George Brocklesby exhibited his ceramics in February, 2008.
- Jeanne Stigler showed her custom embroidery in December, 2007. She is a regular vender at the Booth Corner Farmers’ Market.
Barney King displayed his paintings in November, 2007. Barney is also a volunteer at the museum.- Naomi Clark displayed jewelry, pupets and pierced metal creations as well as caned and rushed furniture in October, 2007.
- Joy Davis showed her contemporary sterling silver jewelry in September, 2007.
- David McClintock exhibited his photography in August, 2007.
- Russ McKinney displayed his copper relief art in July, 2007.
